Lee edited, but did not contribute a short story to, this anthology of short stories by 13 debut crime writers: Robert Gregory Browne, Toni McGee Causey, Marcus Sakey, Derek Nikitas, Marc Lecard, JT Ellison, Brett Battles, Jason Pinter, Bill Cameron, Sean Chercover, Patry Francis, Gregg Olsen, and Dave White. Each story is prefaced by an introduction from their mentor, such as Lee Child, Tess Gerritsen or Jeffrey Deaver, plus additional stories by Ken Bruen, Allison Brennan and Duane Swierczynski, and essays by Laura Lippman and MJ Rose.
